How To Pray-there is no right way, no single energy. There is the Creator Energy some call God. There are Jesus Christ and dozens of other energies that different people have defined as God. And they are all valid. All parts of the same thread.
Just like Christians, Jews and Muslims all worship the same God that Abraham and Moses did in the Old Testament.
But when I say pray, I mean that you stop exactly where you are and put your hand over your heart and thing of a peaceful stream before your eyes, It is Spring and the birds are singing and the sun is bright and flowers are everywhere. Or another vision that is your happy place. Then see yourself sitting there listening to the water gently moving downstream.
You are sitting in a ray of the sunlight, peaceful, content and alone. You wish for nothing. You allow your body to become part of that scene. You are one with nature. Then you allow yourself to feel love within you and all around you.
You are feeling great by this time. Just like when you fall in love with another person, your family and friends or even chocolate or a dog. You feel so whole and complete that you just want to share it. It is just in your nature to want to share and help others with your words, your actions, and your good intentions-your prayers.
So prayer is just like that; you become a huge power generating station of love, peace, understanding, and generosity. Now you can think of how you are the luckiest person ever born. You can think of people and situations in your life, at work or with your neighbors, your people or your country that attracts your attention that makes your heart cry out. “I wish I could help that person.”
Now focus on what you see in your mind’s eye. Hold it close to your chest as if it were a baby, your baby. Because we are all connected, we are all in the family of man, we are all each others baby. Then turn your focus to other thoughts of goodness and well-being for other people. You become the transmitter of an energy far greater than your own body, you become a conduit of all the love that ever was or ever will be. You have the power and it runs through your heart, your mind, and your body.

This power does not go away as long as you are focused on this happy place. Where you direct your power is your choice. But remember you could not survive without the people in your community. The man and woman who coupled to create you, the doctor who delivered you, the farmer who delivered your food, the neighbor who stops over to help you when you are sick.
You are not alone, you were never alone. You are part of the lives of all of the rest of us. So now you have harnessed the power of love. You are in charge of where you direct it. You can direct it in a small, selfish way to just your blood relatives, or to other people, to social and economic systems that hurt the working person, to conditions that breed fear, hate, and racism. And you can direct your power to fighting and containing ALL illnesses, cancers and other physical conditions.
In death, there is no one to judge you for your actions in life except you. So think about what you think about carefully. When you are doing things to benefit yourself and others, like praying for them, the Sun shines brighter all around you. When you hurt yourself or others, the whole world becomes a darker place.
Learn to love yourself, first, best and always. Then please share the love. I will be thinking of you today as I sit by the stream with my feet refreshed deep in the water. Bless you.
